We
just finished a fantastic rifle season and
archery this year was the best yet. We had
a great group
of clients and we experienced the best hunting
we've seen yet. The numbers of bulls are higher
than
usual
and we routinely saw lots of monster bulls.
We began
our archery hunts on September 8 with Johnny Morris,
his son John Paul and Jimmy and Angie Ryan of Bass
Pro Shops. The Hunting Lease Magazine team was
out the week of September 17 for a muzzleloader
hunt
along with some great bow hunters from Michigan
and South Carolina. The final week of archery
we hosted
a writer and camerman from North American Hunter.
We also enjoyed the company of several repeat hunters
from 2002.
We had great early spring moisture, jump-starting
lots of tall grass. We also have had an excellent
monsoon season with nice long afternoon rains every
day through August.
We also recently completed the remodel of all of
our cabins. They are elegant, cozy and private with
new wood floors and large picture windows with views
of the river valley.
We will be adding pictures from all the hunts as
soon as possible.
